All services provided by Sea Burials, LLC are filed in accordance with the general permit set forth by the EPA under Marine Protection, Research and Sanctuaries Act (MPRSA) within 30 days of service. We are a conservation focused company and ensure no harmful components are used in our ceremonies.
Within 30 days of service, we file each burial at sea with the EPA. This includes Departure Port, State, Type of Remains, Depth of Water, Sink Rate, Distance from Baseline, Latitude and Longitude.
