SERVICE TERMS & ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

By authorizing SeaBurials.com / Searenity Services LLC to perform a burial or scattering at sea, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Urns & Containers

Unless arrangements are made with SeaBurials.com before the scattering, urns, temporary containers, shipping materials, and other packaging remaining after the cremated remains have been transferred for scattering may be respectfully discarded.

If an urn or container is to be returned, the family must notify SeaBurials.com in advance. Additional shipping or handling charges may apply.

Flowers & Memorial Items

Flowers, wreaths, petals, or other memorial items may only be placed into the ocean when permitted by applicable laws and regulations and approved by SeaBurials.com.

SeaBurials.com reserves the right to decline or remove any item that the captain determines is unsafe, non-biodegradable, environmentally inappropriate, or otherwise unsuitable for placement at sea.

Photographs & Video

When photographs or video are included with a selected service or purchased as an enhancement, they are intended to provide documentation and remembrance of the service.

Because services take place in an uncontrolled marine environment, SeaBurials.com cannot guarantee particular weather, lighting, ocean conditions, sunsets, photographic composition, or the visibility or positioning of cremated remains, flowers, or other memorial elements.

Scattering Location & Coordinates

Sea scatterings are performed in designated offshore areas in accordance with applicable federal and state requirements. Any latitude and longitude coordinates provided on a certificate, proof of service, photograph, or other documentation represent the approximate scattering location.

Because vessels and cremated remains are naturally affected by ocean currents, wind, waves, vessel drift, weather, and navigational conditions, coordinates should not be interpreted as the precise or permanent resting position of the cremated remains.

Shared Memorial Voyages

To provide affordable unattended sea scattering services, SeaBurials.com may transport cremated remains for more than one family aboard the same offshore voyage.

Each loved one's cremated remains are maintained separately, handled with dignity, and scattered individually and respectfully. Cremated remains belonging to different individuals are not combined for scattering.

Families wishing to have an offshore voyage dedicated exclusively to their loved one may request a Private Memorial Voyage for an additional fee.

Scheduling, Weather & Marine Conditions

Estimated service and completion times are not guaranteed. Offshore services are subject to weather, sea conditions, vessel availability, mechanical issues, government restrictions, and other circumstances that may affect safe vessel operations.

The licensed captain has final authority regarding the timing, location, route, and safe operation of the vessel. SeaBurials.com may postpone a service when conditions are determined to be unsafe or unsuitable.

Regulatory Reporting

SeaBurials.com performs sea scatterings in accordance with applicable requirements and will complete the required post-scattering reporting to the appropriate governmental agency when included as part of the selected service.

Shipping, Delivery & Transfer of Cremated Remains

Families are responsible for properly packaging and delivering or shipping cremated remains according to the instructions provided by SeaBurials.com and the applicable carrier.

SeaBurials.com is not responsible for loss, delay, damage, misdelivery, or other events occurring while cremated remains are in the possession of an independent shipping carrier or delivery service.

Authority to Authorize Scattering

By submitting this authorization, I represent that I have the legal authority to authorize the disposition and scattering of the cremated remains identified on this form.

I understand that scattering cremated remains at sea is permanent and irreversible and that the cremated remains cannot be recovered after the scattering has occurred.

Information Provided by Family

The family is responsible for providing accurate information, including the deceased's name and any other information requested for certificates or service documentation.

SeaBurials.com is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information submitted by the customer.

Acceptance of Service Terms

By signing and submitting this authorization, I confirm that I have reviewed the service selected, understand the nature of an unattended sea scattering, and agree to the Service Terms & Acknowledgments above.

I authorize SeaBurials.com / Searenity Services LLC and its licensed captains and authorized representatives to take possession of the cremated remains identified on this form and perform the requested sea scattering service.
